Just watched an episode of “Angel” with this beauty of a song featured in the last few scenes. This is the first song to truly catch my ear in a while. It goes to show that music that is simple and honest can still capture our attention, sometimes more affectively than ones with all the bells and whistles, metaphorically speaking of course. ;)

When friends share music…it usually results in a happy obsession. I love all of the rhythm changes and the beautiful phrasing and chords of this song. So basically, everything. ;) Including the original lyrics that don’t just say, “You are my heart”. So clever.

British rock singers tend to put SO much heart in their words and vocals. <3 I love hearing character in voices. To me, it’s all about what they effectively communicate.
